POLICE have reassured residents that chemicals found in the search of a Failsworth flay pose no danger to the public.
Officers found the chemicals at Ben Brierley Wharf, Failsworth, on Friday night when they answered a call.
Residents anxious over a major presence in the area of police, firefighters, crime scene investigators and other chemical forensic examiners have been reassured the large number of vehicles and personnel were precautionary.
Sergeant Kam Hare explained: “There was a lot of rumour and speculation at the time so it is important we put people’s minds at ease. Residents are safe and there is no risk to anyone.”
