Drivers caught out by fresh diversion

COMMUTERS faced a new diversion in Union Street, Oldham, yesterday when the left-hand carriageway was blocked for Metrolink work.
Vehicles were directed towards the right-hand lane, which is one-way and open only to traffic heading towards King Street.
Vehicles will be diverted into Union Street between metal fences for the next four months.
