Rhys on the show
A young Oldham dancer has made his mark in the West End — and is now aiming for TV fame too.
Rhys Yeomans played Billy Elliot on stage until July 2012 after training for two and a half years at top dance school Centre Pointe.
On Sunday he will appear on TV’s Got to Dance (Sky1, 6pm) in front of top judges Aston Merrygold, Kimberly Wyatt and Ashley Banjo. Dancers are competing for a £250,000 prize.
The 14 year old from Chadderton is also a keen actor and singer and won a title at the English Dance Championships in 2011.
He has impressed the show’s judges so far and on Sunday night will learn whether or not he will join the final 30 acts.
