Seven-year-old boy knocked down

A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD boy escaped serious injury after being struck by a car in Shaw.
The child ran from his parents behind a parked bus into Milnrow Road, around 4.30pm on Friday.
Police closed the section of the road outside The Cricketers pub while paramedics attended to the youngster.
The boy was taken to the Royal Oldham Hospital with cuts and bruises and no action is believed to have been taken against the driver of the vehicle involved in the accident.
