Tickets storm
Date published: 04 February 2013
OLDHAM Athletic could be forced to give nearly 40 per cent of tickets for the fifth-round FA cup home clash against Everton on February 16 to away supporters.
Greater Manchester Police have advised the club to allocate the whole of the Rochdale Road End to the Merseyside club for safety reasons.
This follows trouble during Oldham’s fourth round home win against Liverpool when the visitors received two thirds of the tickets for the stand.
Boundary Park holds 10,638 and a statement on the club website says: “The club is aware of its duty to ensure the safety of supporters whilst wanting as many Latics fans as possible to be given the opportunity to attend the match.”
The ticket allocation is expected to be announced this week following discussions with GMP.
