PUCKER up . . . Allyson gives PC Damieon Pickles a kiss for Kershaw's
AN inspirational mum with a lip-smackingly good fund-raising idea has puckered up for a policeman.
Allyson Richardson-Smethurst is battling cancer for the second time and hopes to raise money for Dr Kershaw’s Hospice, which helped her through tough times.
The 37-year-old mum kicked off her Kiss 4 Kershaw’s campaign by locking lips with former Latics’ boss Paul Dickov and some of the players. And now she has opted for local hero Damieon Pickles.
PC Pickles was awarded the chief constable’s commendation for bravery after the Shaw gas blast tragedy last year.
With his colleagues, the former professional rugby league player ran into the rubble to attempt to rescue toddler Jamie Heaton, who died in the explosion.
“Dr Kershaw’s helps people like me, so now I want to give something back,” said Allyson
