PARISH councillors have recommended the go-ahead for plans to build a new health centre in Delph.
A new two-storey building will provide better GP and health and wellbeing facilities for the surrounding area. The current building, in Gartside Street, Delph, is considered no longer fit for purpose.
Delph and Denshaw parish councillor Sharon McGladdery is delighted with the plans: “The community has been waiting for a new surgery for a long time and so I imagine people are delighted they are getting one at last.”
The plans will be considered for final approval by the full Oldham Planning Committee
