Have a Blue Day for Dr K

Date published: 07 February 2013

ALT Primary School pupils are using their learning topic — called cheering for charity — to show their support for the “Blue Day for Dr K” fundraiser.

Year-4 pupil Tegan Jackson said: “We are so excited to be able to raise money for Dr Kershaw’s and support Oldham Athletic at the same time — come on you blues!

IS your school, office or workplace beginning to catch FA Cup fever? Organise a “Blue Day for Dr K” of your own and show your support for the Latics — and raise money for Dr Kershaw’s Hospice at the same time.

Get your school, office or workplace to join in - the madder the better - and make a donation for Dr K’s.

Tell us when you are holding your day and we’ll come and take a picture of what you get up to!

And once you pay in your money we will give you a copy of the Chronicle with your photograph in and specially-printed Chronicle Cup posters for each of the participants.

All the profits will go to the Royton hospice.

TONIGHT we call on Latics fans to Keep the Faith (paper copy buyers only).
We have produced a FREE “Keep the Faith” window poster in the centre of tonight’s Chronicle — that could bring you a cash prize or even a signed Latics shirt.

Put the poster in your window in the build-up to the 5th round FA Cup tie with Everton on Saturday week and as part of our “Big Cup week in the Chronicle” next week we give away £20 spot prizes to some of those spotted by our team.

And if you want to go the extra mile and decorate your window blue to back the boys in blue there will be a signed Latics shirt for the window judged the most innovative by our independent panel.

So get your window poster in place — go out and buy a Chron now to get yours: it could win you a prize!
