GROUNDWORK’S headquarters could be in line for a £7,500 makeover.
The environmental organisation has made the final of the Keeping it Local competition run by renewable energy experts Puragen.
The winner with the most votes will receive a host of renewable technology improvements.
The building - a former school — is Grade II listed, built in 1866.
Groundwork took it over in 1997 and has brought it back into use as a community asset and base for its charitable operations.
The iconic building is one of only three nominations in the north of England.
