Hammer attack ordeal

A MAN was injured when an armed robber attacked a shop in Shaw.
The masked raider who had a hammer smashed a glass counter at Major Value, Market Street, shortly before 8.10am on Friday.
He threatened the member of staff who was alone at the time.
His victim was taken to hospital with a cut head.
The raider was aged 18-21 and escaped with three mobile phones.
He was white, around 5ft 9ins tall, of thin to medium build and was wearing a black balaclava, a black puffa jacket, grey Adidas tracksuit bottoms with three red stripes and grey trainers.
