MISSING ... Catalina (15) has not been seen for two months
POLICE have stepped up their search for a teenage mum last seen boarding a tram to Oldham two months ago.
Catalina Covaci (15) and her seven-month-old son Ricardo went missing from their home in Penrith, Cumbria, on December 19.
The pair boarded a train from Penrith to Manchester Piccadilly after she told her guardians she was going for a walk into Penrith town centre. They arrived in Manchester at 1.40pm, got on a tram towards Oldham and haven’t been seen since.
Catalina is originally from Romania, but lived in France for four years before moving to Cumbria in 2011.
Police forces across the country and in Europe have been notified of her disappearance and officers are working with the UK Border Agency and Interpol in order to establish whether Catalina has travelled out of the country.
Police officers are using #helpfindcatalina on Twitter in a bid to reach a wider audience and in the hope that the online community will spread the word and come forward with information.
