WHAT'S IN FRIDAY'S CHRONICLE
Date published: 01 March 2013
POLICE are investigating after a body was found in the Rochdale Canal at Mills Hill this morning.
Meanwhile, John Hudson, who takes over as Mayor of Oldham in three months time, has ruffled a few feathers by calling on fellow councillors to stop tweeting during meetings as he feels it distracts them from the serious business being discussed.
And we report on an Oldham drug dealer who has had his jail term increased after failing to pay back almost half a million pounds of his ill-gotten gains.
On the sporting front, Latics chief Simon Corney says he will not act in haste over the appointment of a new manager, but he is ready to quit if the club is relegated at the end of this season.
