Work and Pensions secretary Iain Duncan-Smith visits Oldham yesterday
THE man behind the Government’s controversial benefits overhaul was spotted in Oldham yesterday — visiting the Job Centre.
But Work and Pensions Secretary Iain Duncan Smith wasn’t prepared to speak to the media during his “private fact-finding” visit.
The former Tory leader is behind plans to introduce Universal Credit in April, which brings together working-age benefits.
The Chronicle snapped Mr Duncan Smith as he left Oldham Job Centre on Union Street after the visit lasting around an hour.
