DELIGHTED traders on a local market are celebrtating another successful day of selling home-made and vintage items on their unique stalls.
The latest craft and creators market in Royton provided shoppers with a perfect opportunity to pick up a thoughtful Mother’s Day gift as well as some early Easter presents.
Organiser Elizabeth Flynn said: “It was a lovely spring day and more and more people kept coming through the doors, having a look at the stalls and what we make.

“Shoppers were amazed at the variety of what we had on offer and the quality of it all.
“A lot of love goes into what we make — we are all really proud of it.”
Each of the 10 stalls — which operates on the first Sunday of each month — offers something different with home-made jewellery, painting and creative knitting all being sold.
Ms Flynn runs her own stall selling vintage and upcycled items with the help of her daughter Cliona.
She said: “I root, rummage and recycle, find things in charity shops and give them a new lease of life by adding something to them such as flowers.
“Some things work and some don’t but shoppers are always really interested and impressed.”
Another market favourite is Livinia Kay’s Paper Emporium stall which sells handcrafted cards for special occasions.
Ms Flynn added: “Many of the stalls are run by graduates, carers and single mums, like myself, all hoping to earn a bit more and have a go at being their own boss.”
