POLICE have released an image of a man wanted in connection with an unprovoked attack on two men in Oldham town centre in January.
The assaults happened outside the Chinese Buffet Restaurant in Yorkshire Street at about 4.25am on Saturday, January 5, leaving two victims with head injuries.
The victims, aged 19 and 20, left a nightclub and went to the Funky Chicken takeaway before being confronted as they left by two men unknown to them.
Without provocation, they were both attacked and struck in the head.
When they came around they were on the ground outside the Chinese restaurant covered in blood and unable to remember exactly what had happened.
One had suffered a broken nose, black eye and two-inch cut to his right ear alongside other cuts and bruises.
The other man suffered a one-inch wound to the right side of his head.
Attending officers gave chase to the two offenders, arresting a 21-year-old man on suspicion of assault. He has since been released without charge.
Police are now searching for a man described as being white, in his 20s, 5ft 8in tall, of medium build, bald and wearing a black jumper with a white shirt underneath.
