GENEROUS Oldhamers delivered hundreds of fundraising events to play their part in raising vital cash for Comic Relief.
The charity — which celebrated its 25th year with a record-breaking £75million total — helps poor and disadvantaged people at home and abroad.

There was plenty of red nose-wearing, silly outfits and daring acts across the borough.

At Villages Housing Association in Fitton Hill, a non-uniform day with a twist had staff coming to work in 80s clothes.

Staff also gave up their favourite items for lent and anyone failing had to pay a penalty in aid of Red Nose Day.

Children at Roundthorn School made a spoof video of the Comic Relief cover hit “One Way or Another” by One Direction.

STAFF at LL’s Kitchen in Mossley were doing something funny for money by dressing in animal onesies all weekend.
They were using their charms to extort donations from customers for things like having their photos taken with the animals, in aid of Comic Relief.

THERE were eggs, bowls and bun cases galore as kids from Firwood Manor Prep School in Chadderton got busy for Comic Relief.
Youngsters enjoyed making and decorating cakes and selling them.

PUPILS dug out their onesies to raise money for Comic Relief at Radclyffe School, Chadderton, where 85 pupils paid £1 to take part in a Harlem Shake, the dance craze taking the internet by storm.
The event was the idea of the school’s charity team and part of a range of activities for Red Nose Day.

THERE were plenty of comic capers at Newman College too. Youngsters headed to Sainsbury’s Oldham with headteacher Mike McGhee to pack bags for customers.
