A KINGSLAND School pupil with outstanding behaviour has been crowned North-West student of the year.
Ben Clark received his trophy from Olympic heptathlete champion Jessica Ennis and sprinter Darren Campbell at the Sky Sports Living for Sport Awards 2012.
Ben (15), who is working towards a BTEC PE course at the Failsworth School, joined 11 other regional finalists from across the UK.
The student, from Werneth, was chosen to take part in the project because of his outstanding behaviour, enthusiasm and strong PE ability since arriving at the school.
The awards recognise the efforts of students and teachers during 2012 and mark the successful ways secondary schools use sport to inspire young people
