Lawyer Michael pits himself against Olympic challenge

A LAWYER is aiming to emulate Sir Bradley Wiggins by taking on his Olympic time trial route around London for charity.
Michael Pitt, partner at Pearson Hinchliffe Commercial Law, is in serious training for the Ride London100 challenge.
The race — wihich has attracted more than 20,000 cyclists — celebrates the legacy of London 2012.
Starting at the Olympic Park, the route takes the riders through London and into Surrey. The aim is to complete the 100-mile course in nine hours.
Mr Pitt’s chosen charity is MAG — Mines Advisory Group — for which he raised £1,000 at a dinner last year.
He said: “I initially got involved with them via a charity ride through France and have wanted to offer my help again.
“All money raised will help to save lives and build futures in communities affected by landmines all over the world.
“As president of Oldham Law Association in 2012 I chose them as one of my charities and it seemed a great opportunity to extend my support and get fit at the same time.
“I have already started training for the event, although I must admit I am looking forward to some warmer weather, de-icing your bike is not ideal!!”
