cctv of robber at sports physio uk in Market Street, shaw
DO you recognise this man?
This CCTV footage was taken at 11.45pm on Saturday at Sports Physio UK in Market Street, Shaw, as a burglar climbed a ladder to the first-floor window and broke in.
He stole three laptops containing vital business information, a camera, an iPod Touch and money from the till that was to pay for recent refurbishment work to create a yoga and pilates studio on the top floor.
Owner Rick Sedgewick has released the images on Facebook in the hope of someone recognising the burglar before he strikes again.
As well as images of the burglar, he has also posted pictures of the ladder used to gain access to the first-floor window, a red screwdriver used to rip wires out of the fuse box and a distinctive blanket used to help the burglar climb through the broken window.
Rick said: “I’ve heard of another similar incident in the area where a ladder was used to break in on the first floor.
“We had to cancel our appointments on Sunday and Monday because everything was such a mess and we are just hoping the insurance company will get things moving quickly so we can get back on track.
“We only opened in September and we were just finding our feet. Things were going really well and then something like this happens and it just throws you.
“There is glass and dust everywhere and the information on the laptops is really important.
The total value of everything taken is around £3,500.
“There would never normally be any money in the till but it was there to pay for the building work upstairs, it’s just sod’s law.”
Anyone with information can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or Crompton police on 0161-856 8825.
