OPPORTUNISTIC thieves are making the life of one Yorkshire Street newsagent hell after a series of attacks on his store.
Muhammad Aamir, who owns EMC News, says he has been the victim of four thefts in the last three weeks with young men stealing cash and goods from the store.
In the latest incident, on March 25, a group of three young men came into the shop shortly after 11am and distracted the paper boy on duty before stealing around £60 in cash.
Mr Aamir said: “They came into my shop and started making a mess, pulling things off the shelves.
“When the paper boy looked away for a moment they took the money from the counter and ran off. I have CCTV in the store and so I have passed it to the police to help catch them.”
Greater Manchester Police confirmed that investigations into the incident are ongoing and no arrests have been made.
