A housing firm is up for a clutch of top awards for its work on a new £15 million Oldham housing development.
Contour Homes has been shortlisted in the Housing Excellence Awards, the North-West Regional Construction Awards and the Construction News Awards for new houses at St Mary’s.
The 93 homes are packed with green features, from triple-glazing and A+ rated electrical appliances to heat recovery systems.
The development also boasts high-spec air-tightness and mechanical ventilation, reducing the need for heating and cooling.
Occupiers will need to pay no more than £70 a year for heating, while other tenants should be able to save more than 40 per cent on annual fuel bills.
Louise Marsden, senior project manager at Contour, said: “To be shortlisted for three awards is great recognition of all the hard work by all the partners. We hope tenants will really benefit from our investment and enjoy living in the area.”
