POLICE and Crime Commissioner Tony Lloyd says his main aim is working in partnership to make sure Oldham is a safe place to live and work.
The former MP told Oldham Council members his priorities for the year.
He praised Oldham police for bringing down the overall level of crime and said it was a tribute to effective partnership.
Mr Lloyd said Oldham was “well ahead of the game” when it comes to protecting victims of sexual exploitation.
He went on to say that there are major challenges to face.
“We can’t afford to see cuts to our police force,” he said.
“At Oldham you will lose nine police officers and 12 PCSOs because of the cuts. £10 million is gone from the budget I control.”
