DEFIBRILLATORS have been fitted into Greater Manchester Police’s traffic cars as part of new efforts to help them work more closely with the North-West Ambulance Service (NWAS).
Officers will now be able to provide potentially life-saving care at the scene of emergencies if they arrive before paramedics.
More than 170 officers in GMP’s Traffic Network Section have been trained to use the machines, 36 of which have been placed in traffic units.
