Farkhanda murder: man still in custody

A 34-YEAR-OLD man arrested in connection with the murder of young mum Farkhanda Younis in Chadderton, was still in police custody this morning.
The man, believed to be the victim’s husband, is being questioned by officers following his arrest on Monday.
Farkhanda (30) — known as Jabeen — was found dead last Friday morning at her home in Bamford Street, Chadderton.
A police investigation has also been launched after claims Farkhanda had been visited by officers several times.
Greater Manchester Police’s Professional Standards Branch has been made aware of previous contact with the mother-of-two.
A 20-year-old woman arrested on Saturday in connection with the murder of Farkahanda remains on bail until tomorrow.
A post mortem examination revealed Farkhanda died from multiple stab wounds.
