Officers from across the force targeted the county’s most wanted criminals
NEARLY 2,000 criminals were swept off the streets as part of GMP’s largest operation to target offenders.
Officers were involved in the three-week “spring clean of crime”. Eight people in Oldham were charged with organised crime offences and 36 arrests were made as part of a drugs operation.
During Operation Resolute, 1,927 people were arrested, £69,990 was seized and officers carried out disruption visits to 3,163 known offenders.
Arrests were made for offences including robbery, drugs, burglary, driving offences, domestic abuse and rape.
Eighty-three arrests and 63 charges were made as part of an operation to target offenders of crimes such as rape, sexual assault, domestic abuse and child abuse.
