Party time for the Latics faithful
Date published: 29 April 2013
ZIPPY, Hulk Hogan, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs — there were plenty of characters at Latics’ last away game of the season.
Hundreds of Oldham fans descended on Leyton Orient’s Matchroom Stadium in fancy dress to watch their boys in blue take a 1-1 draw to finish 19th in the league.
Latics guaranteed their League One safety on April 20 with a 2-1 home win over Crawley, so the travelling blue army could relax in the southern sunshine.
They had fun while enjoying the end of a rollercoaster season – and saw Kirk Millar’s debut first team goal.
