Crash victim freed

FIREFIGHTERS freed a man trapped in a car following a crash in Chadderton last night.

Crews from Chadderton and Oldham were called to Fold Green, off Broadway, close to the Ancora restaurant at 7.15.

A man was freed from one of the cars and taken to the Royal Oldham Hospital with back and neck injuries.

Other passengers and the drivers of both vehicles were treated for minor injuries at the scene.

The road was shut for an hour while police made the scene safe.
