Ida Buckley: 101 today
FORMER pianist and soprano singer Ida Buckley celebrates her 101st birthday today.
Ida, who now lives at Oakdene Nursing Home in Lees, was a member of Dobcross Band along with her father, Fred Hudson, and her late husband, Harold.
Dobcross-born Ida was raised in Wool Road and started work at the Co-Op Mill in Delph New Road as soon as she left school.
