Police are linking a spate of six flashing incidents across the borough to one man.

Between April 30 and May 21, police received complains about a man exposing himself in Daisy Nook and Chadderton. In all cases the offender approached mostly young girls:

The first was on the afternoon of April 30 at Daisy Nook Visitor Centre in Stannybrook Road, where the victim was a 14-year-old girl. The flasher struck again an 85 minutes later at the same place, whenhen the victim was a 15-year-old girl.

The next incident was in Foxdenton Hall Park on May 7, where there were three victims, one 13m the others 14.

A 16-year-old girl was the victim in the fourth incident, on May 14 in Middleton Road, Chadderton.

The flasher struck again the following day in Oakbank Avenue, Chadderton, when the victim was an 18-year-old woman.

The most recent incident was at 11am on Tuesday in Thurland Street, Chadderton, when the victim was 18.

Police are appealing for witnesses to identify the man — described as white, aged 40-50, of medium build with dark but greying, receding hair. He is known to wear blue trousers and either a blue or grey top.

Det-Sgt Ged Hollywood, said: “The girls have been left embarrassed, and at worst these offences are causing them alarm. We believe the same man is responsible for all six incidents.

“All the victims have been aged 13 -18 so I want anyone of that age, and their parents, to contact us if they see anything suspicious.”
