Daniela through to Teen Star finals

RISING star Daniela Croston

SINGER Daniela Croston is to perform on the same stage as her idols.

The Mossley 13 year old from has reached the grand final of Teen Star UK - having sailed through area and regional finals.

The Hulme Grammar schoolgirl impressed judges with songs by Nina Simone, Etta James and Jessie J.

Now she will go on stage at London’s O2 Arena on July 7 — her dad Andy’s birthday.

But she’s not sure what she will sing to wow the next judges — including former radio 1 DJ Raas Kwane — as so far they have been impressed with the classic hits.

Her proud mum, Elena said: “I’m so pleased for her. She’s so excited because she got some great comments from the judges.

“About 50 of us are planning to go down, so she knows we’re all supporting her and even if she doesn’t win, I’m still really proud because I know she’s good.”

Teen Star UK is the only talent contest specifically for young singers.

The industry judges include Radio 1 DJs and the winner will get £5,000 plus promotion and development packages.
