Teachers to strike over school reforms
Date published: 06 June 2013
OLDHAM schools will be affected by a one-day teacher strike against Government pay and pension reforms later this month.
Teachers’ unions NAS/UWT and NUT have served notice of the walkout on employers. The strike will take place on June 27. Around 2,770 schools across 22 North-West authorities will be affected.
Union leaders have warned the action will be the first of a series, leading to a national walkout in the autumn.
