Climber hurt in 50ft fall

A MAN in his 60s fell 50ft down a crag above Dovestone Reservoir, Greenfield.
The experienced climber was walking on a path at Dean Rocks yesterday afternoon when he slipped down a steep, rocky slope.
North West Air Ambulance and Oldham Mountain Rescue Team went to help and the man was taken to the top of the crag and airlifted to the bottom of the valley to meet an ambulance. He is not believed to have suffered serious injuries.
