Ale trail review
Date published: 17 June 2013
PUBS at train stations along the Transpennine Real Ale Trail were quieter this weekend following new restrictions on alcohol sales.
The trail sees passengers travel between Stalybridge and Batley in West Yorkshire, getting off at every stop for a drink in the station pub.
From Saturday, some landlords refused to sell lager, double measures of spirits or shots to punters in a bid to reduce rowdy behaviour.
