FEELING flush . . . work colleagues Lynn Molloy and James Hartley celebrate their big win at the Saddleworth Hotel
AN energy team from Royton are feeling electric after scooping £113,889 on the National Lottery.
James Hartley (32), originally from Shaw, is one of six members of the M&C Gas syndicate with Lynn Molloy, all of whom get a £19,000 share.
James, based at the Salmon Fields Business Village, said: “I just could not believe it when I called Lynn and she told me we had won. It still doesn’t seem real.”
The group has been playing the lottery since 2001 with the same numbers. Lynn was on her way to a car boot sale when she realised they had won.
Lynn (53) added: “I checked, checked again and then checked a third time!
“We have had a couple of £10 wins but nothing like this. We always kept saying, this week will be the lucky week — then last week it really was.”
Lynn, who still went on to the car boot sale and raised £100 for a good cause, added: “I just can’t believe the amount of money we have won.
“It is a lovely amount which will make a real difference to all of our lives.”
James, who moved to a new home in Rochdale earlier this year after living in Shaw, is now planning on taking his wife, Ciara and 15-month-old baby Nuala, to Spain for a holiday.
