TWO residents have been prosecuted for fly-tipping.
Oldham Council’s Clearance Team found tipped materials in Hereford Street, Werneth in November and inquiries led the council to Shamsurhman Nasseri (41), of Olivers Court.
He admitted dumping the rubbish after moving out of his home.
Nasseri pleaded guilty to two offences of fly-tipping and was fined £55 for each, plus £570 costs.
In a separate case, Surma Begum (36), of South Hill Street, Glodwick, pleaded guilty to the same charge relating to rubbish in Greengate Street, and was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £810 costs.
