OLDHAMERS young and old have united for a flag raising-ceremony to mark Armed Forces Day on Saturday.
Oldham’s Mayor Councillor John Hudson invited standard bearers from local ex-service liaison organisations and pupils from Medlock Valley Primary to attend the event at the civic centre.
The youngsters have made wooden regimental plaques for the Mayor’s office which will be used for future ceremonies.
