MORE pupils will be able to attend an outstanding Chadderton primary thanks to a £2.8 million expansion.
Yew Tree Community School will increase its intake from 60 children to 90 from September — resulting in an extra 210 pupils by 2019/2020.
The school will also open a 60-place nursery in plans approved by councillors last night.
The council will borrow the money to cover three years’s worth of building work. The school will receive an extra £30,421 from the Government for running costs.
