THIEVES ran off with a haul of jewellery when they broke into a 95-year-old woman’s house as she slept.
The raiders smashed a ground-floor window at the back of the house on New Earth Street, Oldham in the early hours of June 25.
They snatched jewellery from one of the bedrooms then walked into the pensioner’s room, searched a chest of drawers and a dresser, and stole her purse.
PC Janet McNally said: “The victim is very upset her jewellery has been stolen. Some of the items hold great sentimental value to her and she is keen to get them back.”
Anyone with information should call police on 0161-856 9098 or Crimestoppers, on 0800-555 111.
