Date published: 09 July 2013
COUNCIL chiefs are holding a first “Visit Oldham” conference in a bid to boost local tourism.
Oldham Council wants local tourism businesses to attend the event, at the Talking Point Conference and Exhibition Centre in Scouthead, on July 23.
The aim is to bring people together to discuss support of the local tourism economy. Visitors will enjoy lunch and hear speakers from Marketing Manchester, Pennine Prospects and specialist tourism trainer Katy Moussaada.
Topics will include a five-year tourism strategy for Greater Manchester, plus the potential benefits of the Tour de France in Yorkshire next year.
Book a place at www.visitoldham.eventbrite.co.uk.
