FORMER world champion Steve Davis will take on all-comers in a charity pool marathon.

SNOOKER ace Steve Davis OBE will be a star attraction at this weekend’s Saddleworth Show.

The Nugget, who has won more professional titles in the sport than any other player, will take on all-comers in a marathon charity pool challenge on Sunday.

His appearance has been arranged by AWC Home Improvements, one of the show’s sponsors.

People will be able to play him for a donation for Doctor Kershaw’s Hospice, Royton.

Davis won six world championships during the 1980s, when he was the world number one for seven years and became the sport’s first millionaire.
