Shock death of former parish chairman

David Dunning
A “GENTLE giant” who put Shaw and Crompton Parish Council at the forefront of everything he did has died at the age of 70.
Dad of three David Dunning, of High Crompton, died suddenlyin Grimsby while on a golfing trip.
Last year Mr Dunning was the chair of the parish council and was held in high regard.
Good friend David Valentine said: “I only spoke to him on Sunday so it was a massive shock. He was a gentle giant.”
Chairman of Shaw and Crompton Parish Council, Dave Murphy said: “He gave his heart and soul to the community.”
