Court date for stab probe

A 40-YEAR-OLD man will appear at Minshull Street Crown Court charged with wounding with intent and possessing an offensive weapon.
Police initially said that David Benson, of Park Road, Oldham, would appear on a charge of attempted murder.
The charge follows an incident in which a 29-year-old man was stabbed in Yorkshire Street on Saturday, July 6. He will appear on July 30.
