Double tonic for health

A £143,000 grant from the Big Lottery Fund will help two well-established local health projects.
Activate is a cycling programme which helps people to exercise more, while Digging 4 Health, two well-established and successful health and well-being projects.
Activate is a cycling programme which aims to increase the public’s activity levels., while Digging 4 Health is a gardening and food-growing initiative at Alexandra Park
Activate will use its money to add another 1,000 peopl to the 2,000 who aleady use its cycles and equipment services.
Digging 4 Health will add another 950 people to its 2,600 green-fingered Oldhamers.
