Patients need to feel safe, says MEP

UKIP Euro-MP Paul Nuttall said he is “saddened and concerned” that three of the 14 failing hospital trusts placed into special measures are in the North-West.
Mr Nuttall said he was unhappy that Tameside Hospital NHS Foundation Trust was among those being investigated for their high death rates.
He said: “Patients need to feel safe when they are at their most vulnerable. I am glad special measures are now in place for these, but I am saddened and concerned they are necessary in the first place.”
