Parish councillor’s funeral

THE funeral of parish councillor David Dunning takes place next Tuesday.
The grandfather-of-three died in his sleep on July 9 in Grimsby.
A former chairman of Shaw and Crompton Parish Council, the 70 year old was highly regarded for his community work and fundraising work for High Crompton Conservative Club.
The funeral takes place at St James Church, East Crompton, at 10.30am prior to committal at Rochdale Crematorium.
Mr Dunning’s wife, Diane, has asked for family flowers only and that any donations be made to David’s charities of the year when he was parish chairman — Dr Kershaw’s Hospice and Springhill Hospice.
