BABY joy: mum Sarah Wardhaugh with baby Grace and midwife Lisa Crossley Oldham-born baby shares big day with new prince.
GRACE Emily Crossley was one of 12 babies born yesterday at the Royal Oldham Hospital’s Women and Children unit.
She entered the world at 12.25pm — four hours before the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s baby boy — weighing 7lb 14oz.
Sarah Wardhaugh said she was “proud as punch” and over the moon that her baby shares the future king’s birthday.
The new mum, from Stalybridge, is due to marry the baby’s father, Steve Crossley, next year.
Her future sister-in-law, midwife Lisa Crossley, was looking after mum and baby in the ante-natal ward this morning.
Grace, delivered by c-section, is a sister to five-year-old Bella.
Sarah said: “Ever since I found out Kate was pregnant, I’ve been wishing they might be born on the same day — I really like the idea of it.
“I’d like to wish the royals all the best with their new baby.”
