Date published: 23 July 2013
TWO reservoirs have sold at auction for four times the recommended guide price.
Brushes Clough, off Buckstones Road, sold for £22,000 and Besom Hill went for £20,000 at the Old Trafford event.
The buyers are keeping tight-lipped while contracts are exchanged. Two plots of land surrounding Brushes Clough were also sold for just over £15,000. The lots were offered on behalf of United Utilities.
