A Glodwick charity which helps women and children from minority ethnic backgrounds has been given £25,000.

Fatima Women’s Association will use the money to help pay the salary of a part–time finance officer and fundraiser. The charity offers education, training and health and wellbeing classes, as well as services for the young, English and maths lessons, aerobics and art and craft sessions.

The money comes from the Lloyds TSB Foundation for England and Wales, which supports charities helping disadvantaged people and communities.
