A CHADDERTON-BORN writer is about to see her first novel go from e-book to real book.
Former Radclyffe Schoool pupil Kirsty Greenwood (31) self-published “Yours Truly” last year through Amazon — where it made the Kindle top 10.
Now been bought by publisher Pan MacMillan and will hit the book shelves in time for Christmas.
The romantic comedy tells the story of easy-going Natalie, who finds it easier to tell little lies to keep her friends and family happy, than tell the truth. That changes after an encounter with a hypnotist.
Kirsty, who lives in Dobcross, is founding editor of popular female fiction website Novelicious.com, which gets around 40,000 hits a month.
She said: “Now I’m busy on my next romantic comedy, which will be published next year.”
Caroline Hogg of Pan Macmillan, said: “I jumped at the chance to sign Kirsty not just because of her talent at reaching thousands of readers, but because she writes with a voice that’s fresher, funnier and feistier than anything I’ve seen in a long, long time.”
