Flasher shame of pervert in the park

A CHADDERTON man has pleaded guilty to three counts of indecent exposure — two of which involved girls aged 14 and 11.

Paul Smithies (48) of Stockfield Mount pleased guilty before Bolton Magistrates to the offences which took place between May and July.

The first was in Foxdenton Park when Smithies exposed himself to two 14-year-old girls.

The second incident, also in Foxdenton Park, in July, involved an 11-year-old girl walking with a friend.

The final incident happened on Broadway, when a 34-year-old woman was jogging towards Foxdenton Lane.

Smithies appeared behind her and pulled the waist band of his shorts down to expose himself.

Smithies will be sentenced at Minshull Street Crown Court, on Monday, September 23.
